Last year, EA started an event for Need for Speed Payback called Abandoned Cars. Every week, your game will update with an abandoned car left somewhere out in the world, just waiting for you to claim it.

These are cars that the Street Leagues may have been driving, but you previously didn’t have access to. You do now, and it’s free — but only for a limited amount of time.
In the recent June Update, all ten Street League boss cars were made available:

- Big Sister’s Ford Mustang.
- Faith Jones’ Ford F-150 SVT Raptor.
- “Gallo” Rivera’sPorsche 911 Carrera RSR 2.8.
- Holtzman’sChevrolet C10 Stepside Pickup.
- La Catrina’s Nissan Fairlady 240ZG.
- Mitko Vasilev’s Nissan GT-R Premium.
- Natalia “SuperNova” Nova’sPagani Huayra BC.
- Udo Roth’s Subaru Impreza WRX STI.
- Underground Soldier’sNissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec (1993).
There was also an undetermined amount of “classic” Need for Speed cars added, and all of these now appear on a rotating roster between seven different locations.
Of course, you’re not just going to drive around looking on every street, like a chump. That’s where we come in. We got you covered fam.
The Need for Speed Payback derelicts are basically the collectibles of the racing world, and tracking them down is not only enjoyable but also adds five wrecks to your garage, which can then be. How to Claim Abandoned Cars
It’s not enough just to reach the car. In true Need for Speed fashion, you’ll have to high tail it back to a safe spot with the cops on your tail.
You won’t be shown where the car is until you’re close enough. At that point there will be a special icon above the vehicle, you’ll see a notification and it will be marked on the map.
As soon as you enter the car, the Fortune Valley Police Department will start pursuing you like it was staking it out all along. You need to make it all the way back to Rav’s workshop to be safe, and the car will be yours.
Getting caught will reset the event, but there are no other restrictions. Take as much time as you want — but you do have to claim the car within its one week window.
How Can I Get the New Car?
This week, you can pick up a sweet Lotus Exige S. Find it at Mountain Vista Point, Mount Providence.
Here’s where it is on the map:
And here’s what it looks like on location:

You’ll only be able to claim it this week, up until February 19th. At the stroke of 10am (UTC), it disappears. After that, we can refer to a handy new list for what Payback will give us. Recently, Need for Speed community manager F8RGE posted the schedule of which cars to expect right up until June.

If the car has changed, be sure to check the growing number of locations they’re known to appear in. Occasionally, the abandoned car might appear in a new location for Payback.
Earlier Abandoned Cars
The earliest rotation of abandoned cars were:
- Mazda RX-7 Spirit R (Silver Canyon)
- Volvo Amazon P130 (Mount Providence)
- Volvo 242 DL (Silver Rock)
- BMW M3 Evolution II E30 (Mount Providence)
- Plymouth Barracuda (Newhaven Cabins)
- Nissan Skyline 2000GT-R (C10) (Silver Dam Lookout)
Don’t stick to the above locations, though. The abandoned car locations change every week. Be sure to check back here for details!
If you missed out on one of these abandoned cars, there originally wasn’t a way to get them in Need for Speed Payback. But since the start of 2018, Ghost has been rotating them regularly, so a weekly login should net you all of them.
Purchasing new cars and parts is essential for winning at events that require the best of the best from their participants. The only way to buy a new car in Need for Speed: Payback is through an in-game dealership. But where are the dealerships located?
Fortune Valley is huge, and there are only five specialized dealerships in the game, so it is possible that you will have a hard time finding all of them. Don't worry, just follow our guide, and find all the dealership locations quickly and easily.
(Side Note: With the release of the NFS Payback update 1.08, 'cycling through a dealership will no longer cause issues when looking at the downloadable cars UI.')
Location 1: Runner Dealership
In order to find the Runner Dealership, go to the southeastern part of Silver Rock area -- The Rustway. The building is located in the southern part of the map.
This dealership sells runner cars, such as the new 2017 Porsche Panamera Turbo, which is perfect for running away from cops.
Location 2: Drag Dealership
The Drag Dealership is located in the center of the Billionaire's Row district, which is also a part of Silver Rock.
This is one of the most important dealerships in the game, as drag racing is super popular in Need for Speed: Payback. Through this particular dealership you will be able to purchase a derelict car -- the Nissan Fairlady 240z.
Location 3: Drift Dealership
Drifting is one of the most popular mechanics in the game, so if you're looking for a Drift event, you will need to buy a proper vehicle, such as the Nissan 350z or R34 GTR.
Both of these cars can be purchased through a Drift Dealership located in the central area of the Lakeside district (west of Silver Rock).
Location 4: Offroad Dealership
Now let's move on to the central part of Fortune Valley -- the dangerous Liberty Desert. In the southwestern area of the Fortune Valley Railway Station, you will find the location of the Offroad Dealership.
It features crazy vehicles like the Chevrolet Bel Air fitted with light bars, blowers, lifted suspension, huge wheels, and fender flares -- perfect for all sorts of off-road shenanigans.
Location 5: Race Dealership

If you've been asking yourself, 'Where is the Race Dealership?', you're not alone. Probably the hardest-to-find dealership in the game is the Race Dealership. It stands right next to a gas station at Ember Valley, located to the north of Liberty Desert.
